Most all domestic water comes from either a surface water source (a lake or river), or ground water source (a well). Obviously, water coming from a surface water source needs treatment and purification before it is suitable for domestic use. Many of our municipalities in western Oregon obtain their water by means of a surface water source. It is then run through a water treatment plant to assure that it meets certain minimum standards before distribution to the customer.

Ground water, supplied from a properly drilled well, can often be improved with the correct treatment equipment. While ground water may appear crystal clear, it commonly requires treatment to ensure maximum benefit to the end user.
