We’re serious about delivering premium service and solutions for your plumbing, well water and landscape needs. To do that with excellence, we have to keep ahead of three different industries’ rapidly-changing technologies and best practices. That’s where Stutzman Services University comes in!
SSU is our system for coordinating the training and continuing education of our employees. Over the last month or so, we have invested hundreds of man-hours into educating our team. Here’s a brief look at what we learned and how we believe it will benefit you.
For two weeks, Brent Stutzman and our team of journeyman plumbers, apprentices, and administrative staff spent the first 90 minutes of every day in training. It was a chance to revisit the fundamentals and learn some new things, too. Topics included: Our mission and values, budgeting and finances, and best practices throughout the life of a service call.
A guest presenter recently joined us for a 3-hour session with our water systems team. Field Service Engineer Jeremy Corbin provided detailed training on the newest technologies in submersible pumps and variable frequency drive systems from Franklin Electric.
The proper installation, cleaning and sealing of pavers was the focus for our landscape construction team during an all day seminar at Western Interlock. And Terry Hedlind, one of our landscape designers who has also taught at the UO Department of Landscape Architecture, recently educated our team on the principles of hydraulics in irrigation systems.
Why do we believe education is important? Because our goal isn’t to follow, but to help shape the future of our industries. Since 1966, you’ve counted on Stutzman Services to deliver excellence. And thanks to Stutzman Services University, we’re deploying a team of highly-trained technicians across the Willamette Valley every day.
